On 24 September I had the honor to attend the event of Paula Cademartori in Milan for the presentation of the P / V 2016 collection.
The location could not be better, in the newly opened luxurious Mandarin Oriental hotel, located in the most elegant area of ​​the city.

From 1st September to 8th October, the sophistication of the brand encounters the exclusive and River Gauche spirit of the Parisian store, creating the perfect setting for the new must-haves of the season. Featuring in this window are LOTUS, WARRIOR, STARRY, CRAZY STRIPES and CINDERELLA: booties, sandals and pumps with the distinctive features of femininity, sensuality and colour, which have always distinguished the strong identity of the brand.

The Parisian designer Julie Pasquet Billoux de Famille graduated from the prestigious fashion school "Duperré" in Paris and perfected her training at the prestigious fashion house Christian Lacroix and Barbara Bui, as well as in studies of designers as "Les Bijoux de Sophie" emerging in Paris and "Eddie Borgo" in New York.

PRIYANKA is the eponymous jewelry label of designer Priyanka Lugani.

Born into an entrepreneurial family with an international upbringing, Priyanka was inspired to translate her global travels into a brand at the age of 18.

Described as a truly autobiographical collection, Indian-born Priyanka draws inspiration from far-flung destinations across the globe. Her adventures in the colourful streets of Istanbul and eclectic markets of Delhi blend seamlessly with her interpretations of polished Hong Kong and avant-garde Manhattan.

PRIYANKA jewelry fuses Eastern and Western influences to create beautiful statement pieces; her rich Indian heritage is visible in the complexity of colour combinations, stones and timeless designs. The reason for this work was the question of the utilitarianism.

All pieces were exhibited before the NY fashion week and when we started the process of this work, we wanted to reuse these pieces so that they became in others... we worked together with plastic artists using the technique of xilography to develop the patterns of parts; also we used for the composition of the material scenarios that we found in the street during that time, as the structure of the looks of the photos in white and the background graffiti with several lines of color of the latest photos from the editorial ... at the editorial we have called Recycle yourself, emphasizing the act of recycling things for reuse.

IN-PROCESS is the brainchild of Central Saint Martins graduates Steven Hall and Yurika OharaThey debuted during S/S 06 at LFW winning the New Generation Award and have been participataing during JFW since Autumn/Winter 2010/11. They won the 7th DHL Designer Award in 2014.

IN-PROCESS‘s core values and approach to design is based around its concept “Capturing the aura of a garment that is in the process of being made”.

Capturing the aura of a garment that is in the process of being made.IN-PROCESS has been built on a modern nostalgic aesthetic, which runs through everything they design.

As IN-PROCESS they have been making their own mark with their quirky designs. This is shown with their humoristic approach towards printing, which is expressed by their unique illustration, collage, and colour pallet. Their creations are much about aesthetics as they are about satorical playfulness and this is a cross over they seem to manage well.


F/W 2015-16


We created harmonic juxtaposition between Bauhaus, Jugendstill (Art Nouveau) and a nostalgic notion of 1970s textile/print designs through the collection.

The purpose of this was to create an aesthetic that had a sense of originality yet also a sense of nostalgic familiarity.

We find it fascinating how these aesthetics had unique differences in how they were perceived visually during their own time periods yet there were great similarities in the decorative approach, which we felt allowed for fluid juxtapositions to create the aesthetic we designed.

The results of these harmonic decorative juxtapositions were shown through print and textile on clean, well-formed structured silhouettes that display a touch of the aesthetics stated, but also a modernized feeling.

Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez joined in 2010 in a common project; from this creative and talented union emerged Au Jour le Jour.
Au Jour le Jour expresses its particular version of the elegance which is versatile, ironic, cultured and sophisticated.
You can recognize its designs and fabrics characterized by illustrations and prints; pastels mixed with vibrant colors.
For its designers the quality of ‘Made in Italy’ is a style statement that is synonymous with elegance and singularity.
Its clothes can be found in the leading boutiques and department stores on the international scene, but it is mainly bringing authenticity to the looks of celebrities and fashion icons.

F/W 2015-16   Disco Queens

It’s the season of the au jour le jour disco queens, who come out after midnight to hit the city’s coolest
clubs, from New York to Paris, Milan to Shanghai, gliding effortlessly from one dancefloor to
another, against backdrops of pulsing lights and high decibel beats.
Sophisticated, feminine, ultra-modern pieces sex up the runway woman envisaged by
Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez, nodding to Bianca Jagger’s ‘dancing days’.
She’s dressed in oversized furs, draped bodysuits and provocative multicolored tights.
Black and rainbow shades light up with sequin embroidery, glittery details and sparkling jacquard
effects that feature geometric designs and lurex-woven animalier motifs.
The graphic explosion ranges from microphone, headphones and guitar micro all-over prints to
placed prints, really strong on knitwear, playing with rainbows, stars, lightning flashes and dancing
girls’ contours punctuated by real blinking lights. Right up to the pop- flowing-haired queen of the
Outerwear is warmed with cozy faux fur, colored Mongolia and ultra-light kidassia fur, also seen in the
plunge backless dress. While wool cloth peacoats give way to shining matelassé pieces and faux
python coats, reinterpreted with contrasting fur collars or sleeves.
Lace and Lycra are shaped into stretchy dresses and draped bodysuits with transparent chiffon long
sleeves, nipped in flared pants or high-waisted miniskirts.
From metallic-tile mosaics to plunging V-necks, flowing pleats to sinuous straps, dresses symbolize
next winter’s desire for seduction and glamor, as does denim, embellished with crystals and metal
The look is complemented by Seventies-inspired booties in laminated or python print leather, and
knee-high sock-boots. Coordinated with the season’s new must-have accessory: the “three- in-one”

Gustavo Carvalho: Talent Made in Brazil
Gustavo Carvalho has been around since just over a year but is among the best discoveries of the moment.
The young Brazilian designer started with some editorials for online magazines, and quickly generated interest in different media. He was the finalist of Jessie J and vitaminwater‘s Creative InviteHe also worked with famous Brazilian stylist, Reinaldo Lourenço.
After some successful stints, he decided to undertake a more personal project .In 2014 he founded Gustavo Carvalho; its success was instantaneous and he participated in the New York Fashion Week. He also designed clothes for the Brazilian pop singer Lorena Simpson. 
In his designs we see the influence of visual and plastic arts.
For Fall / Winter 2015 collection he drew inspiration from pop music of the 80s, the youth of this period and its relationship with music.
The queen of pop, Madonna, was his muse for this collection, her visuals, her dancing and some of her songs inspired him.
According to Gustavo, Madonna represents a strong, determined and free woman.
The last element used by the designer was the sport; dance and sport are very similar, he says.
The collection is urban and sports, and it has not a defined gender.
We will find many items in black, blue, red, ivory and gold.
Highlights the fabric selection, since we will find eco leather, neoprene and even fabrics from automotive industry.
For the style he was inspired by the riding, swimming, running and boxing.
The word that best defines this collection is without doubt modernity. ” Gustavo is still very young and only has started his career but his achievements in this short period are big and we can only expect greater things from this young talented fellow.
